Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

What a year it has been! 

Sunniva has just ended her third year without a loss in the boxingring. Twenty straight matches since someone beat her, and the confidence couldn could not be greater before she becomes a Elite boxer in January. We have been waiting a while for that moment...:). 

Sunniva started this year with a gold medal in "The Adriatic Pearl" in Budva, Montenegro. WHAT a place! The hotell, the arena, the food, everything was perfect! 

Then she went to Sofia and won the European Championship for the second time. All photos taken by Sharon Burgos Aresvik. 

In May Sunniva won the Norwegian Championship for the first time (not easy to find opponents in Norway!) So a big thanks to Sofia Stigen Sørensen for a good fight! 

One of the coolest events this year was Suzuki Fight Night in Poland. The opponent was one of our most used sparring partners, Daria Parada. A very good fighter, but Sunniva was just to good that night. A strong victory against one of the best Elite boxers out there. 

In September Sunniva went to two big tournaments with just one day at home between. Silesian in Poland and Golden Glove in Serbia. Two big and good tournaments where many of the best boxers go. Sunniva won gold in both after good boxing, but the best was yet to come. 

Sunniva showed tremendous boxing in the World Championship in Spain in November. Four matches, four wins, 10-8 and 10-7 rounds in one of the matches says it all. Kazaksthan, USA, India and Colombia was beaten one by one and at the end Sunniva could be at the top of the podium. A big moment for the whole team. Sunniva became the first world champion from Norway. Never had a Norwegian boxer been on the top of the podium with the gold medal around the neck. A moment we never will forget. Thanks to all that have been with us along the way. 
 
A fantastic year is coming to the end, and a new one is just around the corner. Elite boxing, Elite world championship in India (March) and Olympic qualifications in Poland (June).
