Achievements
Sunniva is still a young athlete (22), but has already made history numerous times. The first when she became Youth European Champion, and the most recent when she won U23 European championships, and earned the prize as the best boxer of the tournament. Not to mention that she is an Olympian and Youth World Champion.
The highlights

Sunniva fought 4 matches excellently in Foz du Igazu in Brazil in April. She placed 1st on the podium, with two World Championship medallists under her. A powerful accomplishment and a real show of skills in the ring.

Sunniva went into this tournament a clear favorite, but being the athlete that she is, she kept full focus on the task ahead, not allowing circumstances to distract her. After two matches of excellent boxing she was crowned the U23 European champion, being the first one form Norway to do so.
She was also awarded the prize as the best boxer of the tournament, a true honor and proof of her talent.

She started off the season in Brazil, winning three fights there and taking home Norways first ever World Cup gold. The next cup took place in Poland, and after showcasing excellent boxing, she secured the gold here also. The final World Cup was in Kazakhstan, where she fought three fights and stepped victorious to the top of the podium.
In the 3 World Cups that were help before the world championship, Sunniva is the only boxer in the whole world, that took gold in all three of the events.

At only 19 years of age Sunniva qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics as the first Norwegian female ever, and the first Norwegian in 28 years. She had 3 fights to secure the ticket. First she stopped Barbados, then outboxed Lithuania in the semifinals, and went onto meet Sweden in the finals. After one and a half rounds of boxing she stopped her opponent, and could scream of joy for making history, yet again. But this time, it was Olympic history.

In La Nucia, Spain, Sunniva became Norways first ever World Champion, in any category. She had 4 fights where she outboxed the nations of Kazakhstan, India, USA and Colombia. Finishing her youth career on an absolute high.

She repeated her success the year after, and was again crowned the Champion of Europe.

Sunniva became Youth European champion as the first one form Norway to ever attain a gold medal at this championship.
