This tournament wasn`t in our plans, but when we got a mail from the organizors about coming over to fight we said yes right away. They asked us to come to fight their boxers, and it was even fighters from other countries there.
We ended the weekend with six rounds of sparring.... Not even close what we came...
Silesian Championship 2023 ended with a silver medal for Sunniva. We are happy with three fights, although we wanted another result in the final. She was up against Oliwia Toborek from Poland, a true fighter who gives all in the duels. Sunniva gave it all and we thought it would be enough, unfortunately we only got the last round. But...
A large Norwegian squad arrived in the Polish city of Gliwice on Sunday. Sunniva travels with her club B-30 this time together with Eline and Ihne while Helene travels with the national team. Norway only sent junior and youth boxers this time, but it`s great to represent the club also!

This weekend Sunniva joined a training camp with the Norwegian national team for youth and juniors. The camp was in Trondheim and 10 girls participated. Sunniva had good rounds with her friend Sofia Stigen Sørensen, but also with a young talented boy from a local club, Nidaros Bokseklubb.

After two days with training and enjoying the beatiful city of Zakopane, the day all the boxers have been waiting for was here, the draw.. In the 75kg category it is only the two boxers coming to the final that get`s a ticket to next years Olympics in Paris, so it is a hard race. This is the first of three opportunities to qualify. ...

After a very tough and intense semifinal against Aoife O`Rourke, Grand Prix - Usti Nad Labem ended here for Sunniva. A close and even fight where Aofie was slightly ahaed. Split decision 4-1, Sunniva still hasn`t lost a fight unanimous.
Sunniva is taking huge steps everytime she is in the ring, and we can`t wait to be back...
After two wins on stopp in the second round we are stepping up the game today as we meet the European Champio Aofie O'`Rourke from Ireland. She won a tough battle against Germany yesterday.
The girls have been sparring a few times before in Ireland, so we know this is going to be a real test for Sunniva....
